This year our speaker at the Lunch Lecture is André Kuipers. André is a Dutch astronaut working for the European Space Association ESA and is the third Dutch man that went to space. His last journey was in 2011 and now he is an ambassador of multiple charities. During his talk he will tell you all about the interesting career he had and how he used his motivation to achieve his goal to become an astronaut. In addition, he will give unique insights in the technologies and innovations used in the remarkable international Space Station ISS where they use ground-breaking technology that can withstand extra-terrestrial conditions.
